Lights, Haze Receives EMILE Awards Nomination

The animated short film Lights, Haze, directed by Tata Managadze, has been nominated for two categories in the prestigious EMILE Awards (European Animation Awards), Best Soundtrack and Music and Best Experimental Film. The ceremony is set for 28 October 2026 and will be hosted by the Etiuda & Anima Film Festival in Kraków, Poland.

This EMILE Awards nomination adds to the film’s growing list of international honors. Lights, Haze has already won Best Experimental Film at the International Festival of Animated Films TOFUZI (Georgia, November 2025), Best Student Film at the Canlandıranlar Film Festival (Turkey, October 2025), a Special Mention at the Taichung International Animation Festival (Taiwan, October 2025), the Grand Prix in the international student program at SiamANIMA (Thailand, September 2025), and an Honourable Mention in the City in Film Award at Cinalfama (Portugal, July 2025).

In addition to these awards, Lights, Haze was officially selected for Filmfest Dresden and the Brighton International Animation Festival in April 2026, as well as the Grain Urban Film Festival in February 2026. The film also made its international debut at Tricky Women/Tricky Realities in Austria and was screened at Anima Brussels in Belgium in March 2025.
